Among all those self financed colleges, Meenakshi Ammal Dental College is an educational institute that deals with higher dental study. It is considered as one of the leading private dental colleges in India. The dental college is a constituent of Meenakshi University.

 Meenakshi Ammal Dental College was founded in the year 1990 by Thirumathi Meenakshi Ammal, a renowned philanthropist and is accredited with A.I.C.T.E. (Govt. of India). The college offers five years full time undergraduate course of BDS and three years full time course of MDS. The entire dental courses are affiliated to the Meenakshi University, Chennai Tamil Nadu.
 


Admissions:

A pass in HSC Examination ( 10+2 curriculam of the Government of Tamilnadu)
A pass in any examination of any university or authority accepted as equivalent to the above qualification with a minimum
Number of attempts to pass the qualifying examination and improvements for all the courses coming under medicine will be adopted as per the latest Government Orders in force.
Age Limit - Candidates should have completed 17 years of age on December 31st of the year of admission.
Age shall be determined based only on the date of birth as given in SSLC / HSC or an equivalent examination certificate.
In addition to the requirements mentioned above the qualifying criteria assessed through common entrance examination conducted by Meenakshi University shall be followed.

The campus is the situated on the Alapakkam Main Road, at Maduravoyal in Chennai. The college has a serene atmosphere that is conducive to all round development of the aspirants. The college has been divided into numbers of clusters that possess separate departments such as anatomy, Physiology, Bio- Chemistry, pathology, Pharmacology and Microbiology. It has air conditioned lecture halls.
