Kongu Engineering College is a one of the prominent self financing technical institutes in Tamil Nadu that was founded by Kongu Vellalar Institute of Technology Trust in the year 1983. It is one of the best projects of KVITT that is located in the district of Erode, Tamil Nadu. It is affiliated to Anna University of Technology, Coimbatore and is accredited to A.I.C.T.E.

The college offers a wide variety of undergraduate technical courses such as Automobile engineering, Computer engineering, Electrical engineering, Electronics and communication engineering, Food processing technology, Information technology and Mechanical engineering. It also stresses on Master level programs in Engineering.
