Bannari Amman Institute of Technology (BIT) founded in the year 1996 by Dr. S.V. Balasubramaniam is an autonomous institution, affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. It is located in Sathyamangalam, in Erode district offering higher education in Engineering, Technology and allied Sciences.

Admissions:

Admissions varies according to the degree controlled by Anna University standards.

Merit admissions for BE/ B.Tech is done through TNEA entrance exam ranking based on 12th standard exam by Anna University.

ME/ M.Tech merit admissions are based on ranking in TANCET exam by Anna University & GATE.

Other degrees are based on 12th standard marks and controlled by the college.

The management of BIT lays emphasis on placement and training of students in various industries, preparing them to face the real life situations after graduation. An exclusive cell under the guidance of a Professor collects the data of the graduating students and maintains a comprehensive database ready for reference of interview committees. The cell arranges industrial training for the students during their summer and winter holidays.

Campus interviews are drawn up and blue chip companies from various sectors will conduct interviews and recruit candidates. Students have the opportunity to interact with successful entrepreneurs from leading industries in order to promote the entrepreneurial skills among the students.
