HJD Institute of Technical Education and Research, Kera was founded in the year 2010 and is certified by ISO 9001-2008. The college is affiliated to Gujarat Technological University (GTU) and is recognized by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. It aims to meet the highest standards of technology and professionalism worldwide.

The admission for 75% of seats is done by the Joint Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) and 25% seats are done by Management as per the rules and regulations of the ACPC/ACPDC and State Government.
 
Students from the other state can approach directly to the Institute for the admission as per guideline of (ACPC).  At present, minimum 5% seats has been reserved for other state candidates as per ACPC guideline. More seats can be offered depend based on availability.
