Government College of Engineering (GEC), Jalgaon came into existence in the year 1996. The college is affiliated to the North Maharashtra University Jalgaon and is approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.

As it is a government institute, the students are admitted strictly on merit, which is reflected in the students continuous excellent academic record.

The college aims to promote overall development of students by creating excellent learning environment and to develop undergraduate and postgraduate programmes through effective linkages with industry, academia and alumni.
