Government College of Engineering, Amravati established in the year 1964 by the Government of Maharashtra is one of the oldest engineering institutes in the state. The institute was granted Autonomy by UGC in 2005–06. All eligible programs have been accredited by NBA.
Beside engineering education, it is recognized research center for Ph.D. Programs in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics and Computer Engineering for Amravati University. Earlier it was ranked 5th in the list of top engineering colleges situated in the Western side of India.
 

Admissions:
Application forms will be available from notified engineering colleges in the State. Students will be selected on the basis of Maharashtra CET merit marks. Along with the scores, candidate must have cleared 10+2 examination with minimum marks from recognized board with physics, chemistry and biology as the subjects.
Merit list will be displayed on the website or college notice board.
