Girijananda Chowdhury Institute of Pharmaceutical Science (GIPS) was established by Shrimanta Shankar Academy (SSA) in the year 2007 with a vision to provide best pharmaceutical education and to promote research and development activities in North Eastern region of India. Girijananda Chowdhury Institute of Pharmaceutical Science is Approved By Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and offers undergraduate and post graduate courses.

D. Pharm: Candidates should have passed two years 10+2 examination or an equivalent examination of any approved board or university with not less than 50% marks in any combination comprising of P.C.M./P.C.B.
 
B. Pharm: Candidates should have passed two years 10+2 examination or an equivalent examination of any approved board or university with not less than 60% marks in any combination comprising of P.C.M./P.C.B. The applicant should have duly passed in all the subjects (theory as well as practical) without any grace marks.
 
M. Pharm: Candidates should have passed B. Pharm programme from any PCI and AICTE recognized institute with not less than 55% marks (50% in case of candidates belonging to ST/SC/OBC Category) in the aggregate are eligible for admission. GPAT qualified candidates will be given preference in admission and are eligible to receive a scholarship from the Govt. of India.
