B.V. Bhoomaraddi College of Engineering & Technology was initially started as a polytechnic in Gadag, but later it was shifted to Hubli and was upgraded to an engineering college. It was established in the year 1947 by Karnataka Lingayat

Educational Society. It is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum and its undergraduate programs are accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
The institute offers a wide range of under graduate and post graduate courses that covers disciplines like Engineering, Architecture, Computer Application and Business Administration.


Admissions:

Admissions to BVB College of Engg & Tech are as per the regulations of Karnataka State govt.

The students have to appear for the Common Entrance test conducted by Govt. of Karnataka (CET/Mngt. Seats) or ComedK Entrance Test (ComedK/Management. Seats) or All India Engineering Entrance Test (AIEEE - Mngt. seats).

Students willing to take admission in Architecture have to appear for an online test conducted by Council of Architecture, arranged in College in the department of Architecture.

All the classrooms of the institute’s are well furnished with all modern facilities like multimedia facilities and video recording which are used for holding seminars, conferences, guest lecturers meetings etc. Institute has a fully air conditioned conference hall with a good capacity at a time.
