All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) is a medical college and hospital, which was established in the year 1956 by the Indian Parliament. All India Institute of Medical Sciences has always been one of the most preferred institutes among medical aspirants in India. The institute is maintained and regulated by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (India).

Ever since its inception, the institute has created an identity of its own for imparting the quality education in the various branches of health sciences. Since past six years, AIIMS has been holding the first position in the category of top medical colleges in India. The institute offers a wide range of under graduate and post graduate courses in medical field. MBBS is one of the flagship courses offered by the institute. Every year AIIMS allows 77 students to take admission to the course.

Facilities:

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) is nestled at Ansari Nagar in New Delhi. The campus has five hostels for boys and a single hostel available for girls. These six hostels together can accommodate 850 students. For Post-graduate students, there are three hostels available for the men students and married couples and a single hostel for the girls. The institute has a gigantic library building that comprises of two floors with a seating capacity of 300 students. The library hosts a collection of over 71,496 books, 66496 bound journals, 5059 thesis and 16805 pamphlets.
