The University of Kota is an UGC recognized public university. This university offers graduate and post graduate courses in faculties of arts, commerce, social science, science, education, law and management. At present, the University of Kota has 175 affiliated colleges and autonomous departments across the six districts of the Rajasthan state, Kota,Jhalawar, Bundi, Baran, Karauli and Sawai Madhopur are under the territorial jurisdiction of the university. University of Kota offers M.Phil./Ph.D. degree programme in accordance to UGC. A university level entrance test for admission to Ph.D. programme is conducted in an academic session depending upon the vacancies for Ph.D. Known for its strong and well founded student support service the placement and counselling cell provides training and placement assistance to students.
