Shere Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir is an agricultural university situated in Shalimar, Srinagar, the university has multiple campuses, colleges, research and extension centers across the Kashmir Valley and Ladakh regions of the state. This university offers graduate, post graduate programs in faculties of agriculture, veterinary sciences, forestry and fisheries. SKUAST's regional research stations and sub-stations are located in different agro-climatic zones of the state for the conduct of research including necessary operational research. The Directorate of Extension Education, SKUAST-Kashmir provides extension service,which carries scientific agricultural technology interventions developed at the Research Stations to the farmer. These services are aimed to help farmers enhance their net agricultural income in a sustainable manner. Known for its central facilities and student support services the placement cell of SKUAST provides training and placement assistance to students.
