The medical institute i.e. Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Medical Education University is one of the reputed hospitals in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India. In short form, it is known as HNBMEU. The establishment of the University was done by the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly under section Uttarakhand Govt-Act-No72/xxxvi(3)/2014/07(1)/2014 and assented to by the Governor on 18 February 2014. Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Medical Education University is an autonomous body work under Uttarakhand government. It was established with a vision to accomplish the long-standing necessities of the people to have an institution for the development and expansion of medical education in the state of Uttarakhand.

Candidates who want to get enrolled and to make their career with this university had to go through the Common Entrance Test which is conducted by this university every year. For every course, there is different entrance test. For admission in MBBS and BDS courses, students have to qualify the UPMT i.e. Uttaranchal Pre Medical Test which is conducted by Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Medical Education University and for nursing course students have to qualify HNBMEU Nursing Entrance Test. Candidates have to do work hard if they want to get the admission because the level of this examination is very high. The admission form can be downloaded from the official webpage of the university. After reading and filling all the necessary requirements of Application Form, Candidates will be eligible to give the entrance exam. The students will be given a ticket on the basis of the entrance test merit list.
