Dr. Y.S.R. Horticultural University is located in Venkataramannagudem in west Godaveri district of Andhra Pradesh. The Dr. Y.S.R. Horticultural University has been established by the Government of Andhra Pradesh under act 30 in the year 2007. The vision of the university is the development of Horticulture for providing nutritional security to the public and mounting the profitability to the farmers through the development of suitable technologies and manpower in the state of Andhra Pradesh. This organization also produces worldwide competitive human resources in farm zone and carry out research in both conventional and frontier areas. Under Dr. Y.S.R. Horticultural University there are 2 Horticultural Colleges, 4 Horticulture Polytechnics, 16 Research Stations and 2 Krishi Vigyan Kendras.

Admissions:
Dr. Y.S R University of Horticulture Admissions:
The get Admission in Dr. Y. S. R. University of Horticulture, candidate has to give entrance test of the University. Out of the total seats of all courses, 85% seats will be reserved for the Candidates of the Andhra Pradesh State and 15% seats will be for the Candidates who will get admission through the Indian Council of Agriculture Research. The ICAR conducts the All India Level Exam for the admission into the Post Graduate, Under Graduate, Doctorate as well as diploma courses. The Application Form for all the programs will be hosted by the University on its Official website for downloading and filling. After filling the Application Form, Candidates will be eligible to take the entrance exam.
