To apply, you must create an account through the Common Application website.  Once your account is created, you will be able to access Northwestern's member screen and Writing Supplement. Questions specific to Northwestern, for example undergraduate school to which you are applying, are included in the member screen section of the application.

Northwestern University requires all undergraduate applicants, whether educated in the United States or abroad, to submit the results of the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT Reasoning Test) or American College Test (ACT) with writing.

International applicants whose first language is not English are required to submit exam results from either the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).

Northwestern University has  two campuses are located on Lake Michigan, a 240-acre campus in Evanston, the first suburb north of Chicago, and a 25-acre campus in Chicago. One campus is located in Doha, Qatar.

The Chicago campus is home to the medical school and affiliated hospitals, the law school, the part-time MBA program, and the School of Continuing Studies, which offers evening and weekend courses for working adults. Northwestern University Illinois  Infrastructure consists of collegiate gothic style. The satellite campus of the university is situated in Doha Qatar. The Medill School of Journalism and School of Communication offers bachelors degree in communication and journalism respectively.

The Northwestern library system consists of four libraries on the Evanston campus including the central University Library, Deering Library, three libraries on the Chicago campus, and the library affiliated with Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary.

The Northwestern library system consists of  4.9 million volumes, 4.6 million microforms, and almost 99,000 periodicals making it (by volume) the 30th-largest university library in North America and the 10th-largest library among private universities.
