03. Be accepted by the course admissions tutor.
04. In order to meet the University's general requirement you should have or expect to obtain before admission:

Passes in two subjects at GCE 'A' level or
One 12 unit Double Award.

Other qualifications which meet the general requirement are:

You must possess a minimum level of competence in the English language and mathematics. Passes at grade C or above in General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) English Language and Mathematics or an equivalent qualification, fulfil this requirement.

English language Requirments:

•GCSE English language at grade C or above
•International GCSE in English as a second language at grade C or above
•IELTS test of the British Council at 6.0 or above with a minimum score of 6.0 in the writing sub-test (6.5 overall with a minimum of 7.0 with no less than 6.0 in each sub-test for Law and Journalism courses)
•Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with 79 IBT or above (100 for Business and Law). TOEFL is not considered suitable for Journalism
•UCLES Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE) at grade C or above
•PTE Academic with 59 or above.

How to apply for City University Postgraduate admission?

Applicants for all postgraduate degrees should normally hold a university Honours degree or equivalent qualification in an appropriate subject. If you don't hold an Honours degree or equivalent but you have suitable experience and/or professional qualifications, you may still be accepted for a Masters or Postgraduate Diploma at the discretion of the relevant department. In addition the university recognizes several pre-Masters programmes, in particular those provided by Kaplan International College London and into City University London.

Application and closing dates for application:

Before registration, you will need to submit original certificates or certified copies of your relevant degrees and other qualifications. The closing date for applications is determined by each department and may be as early as February for a course starting in September. It is advisable to apply as early as possible as competition for places on many courses is extremely strong and they may be fully subscribed well before the closing date.
