IB Diploma

Graduating students who will be taking the IB examinations in May 2015 may apply by submitting their IB predicted scores. The predicted scores must reach SMU by 8 April 2015. You are advised to apply for admission and submit your predicted scores early. Your application will be withdrawn if predicted scores are not submitted by 8 April 2015.

SMU Graduate Admission:-

For entry to graduate or master programmes, SMU required GMAT and TOEFL or IELTS for most of the study major. Some majors also required submission of essays, recommendation letter, and a minimum of 2 years' work experience.

The postgraduate programmes in SMU are managed by the Office of Postgraduate Professional Programmes and Postgraduate Research Programmes Office.

Admission Requirements for PhD at SMU:-

•At least a good Bachelor's degree. A Master's degree is useful but not required.
•Some disciplines require a Bachelor’s degree in related areas.
•Good GRE or GMAT results.
•Some disciplines may specify a preferred test.
•Candidates who graduated from SMU, NUS, NTU and SUTD are exempted from this requirement. It is compulsory for all other applicants to sit for the test.

Singapore Management University Singapore academic year commences in late August. Each term is 15 weeks long, including a week-long mid-term break and another week of revision and exams.

•Term 1 generally runs from late August to early December.

Singapore Management University Infrastructure


Singapore Management University Singapore Infrastructure:-

Singapore Management University Singapore Infrastructure designed, integrated and constructed in the heart of the city, is the first of its kind in the middle of the fully developed Singaporean city landscape.

This university is surrounded by museums, theatres, educational institutions, art galleries, cafés, restaurants and a range of retail outlets.

The main campus comprises of six buildings and  the Administration Building, the Li Ka Shing Library and four buildings to house the six schools.

The six buildings are connected by an underground walkway known as the Concourse, which is open to the public and lined with shops.
Teaching facilities include seminar rooms, class rooms, computer labs and group study rooms used by students for project discussions. There are research facilities scattered throughout the University. Sports facilities are limited on campus because of space constraints; however, the university has a swimming pool, gymnasium, and a multi-purpose sports hall which is equipped with a rock wall.

A distinctive feature of Singapore Management University Singapore Infrastructure is undoubtedly new School of Law building, including the Kwa Geok Choo Law Library and David Marshall Moot Court, this will be built at the corner of Armenian Street and Fort Canning Link and is expected to be completed by 2017.

Student Accomodation:-  The SMU Hostel, known as SMU Residences @ Prinsep located on Prinsep street is the main accomodation for full-time undergraduate students. First priority is given to international students, SMU residence has a total capacity of 250 students.The other important student accomodation option is Evan's Hostel. This residence offers accomodation to Senior Undergraduate Students (full-time SMU students 2nd year and above) and Exchange students.

Singapore Management University Singapore Student Life and Activities:-

Students at the Singapore Management University  can take part in the school clubs and events, as well as organise school events.It is part of each student's curriculum to spend at least 10 weeks on internship at an approved organisation, and 80 hours on community service. These occupy the summer holidays of most students. Students are also encouraged to go an international exchange term with partner universities to experience different cultures. SMU has around 220 agreements with partner universities from 48 countries.
