The University of New South Wales Sydney Undergraduate Admission:
 
There are a number of factors to consider in terms of University of New South Wales Sydney Undergraduate Admission.The entry requirements, selection processes and application guidelines can vary from one institution to the next. Admission to UNSW is competitive and entry to undergraduate programs is based on merit.

As a minimum, undergraduate applicants will need to have a qualification considered to be equivalent to Year 12 (completion of High School) in Australia.

UNSW receives all applications for domestic students through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC), which accepts applications for admission to most NSW/ACT undergraduate degrees. A domestic student is any Australian citizen/permanent resident or New Zealand citizen.

Application Deadlines:- Applications for mid-year admission open on 10 April  and close on 7 June.  Applications for admission will open in early August and the on-time application closing date is Friday 27 September . You are able to apply after the on-time application date but you will have to pay a late fee.

Before submitting your application for post graduate study at UNSW please make sure that you meet the necessary entry requirements.

How to lodge your application

Use the Apply Online service for all applications for admission to postgraduate coursework degrees, other than the Juris Doctor (JD), the Master of Teaching (Secondary) and all programs offered by the School of Public Health and Community Medicine - see below for details on applying for these degrees. The charge for the Apply Online service is $50. Alternatively, can download a paper application form from the apply online webpage. The charge for submitting a paper application form is $250.

After your application is submitted

Once your application has been received you will be sent an acknowledgement. You will also be advised of any outstanding information or documentation and given instructions on how to provide this.

Notification of application outcome

All applicants are advised of the outcome of their application. An offer of admission is sent to successful applicants. A Conditional Offer will be sent to International applicants who have met the academic requirements, but have not met the English language requirements. In most cases a Conditional Offer remains valid for one year.

Deferring

It may be possible to defer your offer of admission to a postgraduate coursework degree to a later session or year. Requests for deferment must be made online via my.unsw.edu.au, or in accordance with the instructions on your offer letter, prior to the commencement of the nominated session. Deferments are subject to the approval of the Head of School and/or the Manager, Admissions.

University of New South Wales Sydney Infrastructure


The University of New South Wales Sydney Infrastructure:-

The main UNSW campus is located on a 38-hectare site at Kensington, seven kilometres from the centre of Sydney. Other major campuses are the College of Fine Arts in the Sydney suburb of Paddington and UNSW Canberra at the Australia Defence Force Academy. The University of New South Wales Sydney Infrastructure (main campus) is divided into upper campus and lower campus.

Facilities:
01. UNSW Lowy Cancer Research Centre is a facility at The University of New South Wales. It is Australia's first facility bringing together researchers in childhood and adult cancers, and one of the country's largest cancer research facilities, housing up to 400 researchers.
02.The Mark Wainwright Analytical Centre is a high-grade centre for the Faculties of Science, Medicine and Engineering. It is used to study the structure and composition of biological, chemical and physical materials.
03.The UNSW Fitness and Aquatic Centre provides health and fitness facilities and services to both students and the general public.
04. The L5 Building houses NICTA, the UNSW Foundation Studies Program, and the UNSW Institute of Languages.

Student Residence: The University has a number of residential colleges, including: Philip Baxter College, Basser College, Goldstein College, Fig Tree Hall, Colombo House, UNSW Hall, New College, Warrane College, International House, Shalom College and Creston College.

The University of New South Wales Sydney Student Life and Activities:-

In 2007, the three previous student organisations, the UNSW Student Guild, UNSW Union and COFA Students' Association were wound up and reformed as a new student organisation known as the Arc @ UNSW. This association is the center of University of New South Wales Sydney Student Life and Activities.

This student organization is  major service provider on campus, running a number of retail outlets, student media such as Tharunka and the entertainment venue, the Roundhouse. The Arc Student Representative Council represents students to the university and nationally and fights for their rights. Arc also provides support and funding to university clubs and societies and runs student volunteer programs such as Orientation Week.

The University of New South Wales Sports Association and UNSW Lifestyle Centre merged to become UNSW Sport and Recreation. It runs the UNSW Fitness and Aquatic Centre, provides health and fitness facilities and services and supports the thirty UNSW affiliated sporting clubs that compete both at home and abroad.
