The Blue Mountain School, Ooty was founded in 1962 by F.G. Pearce, a renowned educationist and pioneer of the Indian Public School Movement. It is a residential co-educational English medium school affiliated with the Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE). It admits students in class I. It is managed by The Frederick Gordon Pearce Educational and Charitable Trust.
 



Admissions:

Registration for admission is open from January 15.

Admission forms and relevant documents are available for 550.

Minimum admission age for Class I is 6 years.



Facilities:

The school is located on a 5-acre campus on the southeastern slopes facing the Ooty valley. The school buildings combine elegance and majesty required for an institution of learning. The main wing comprises three floors of spacious classrooms, laboratories, library, and art studio. Apart from this, there are separate boys and girls hostels and an administrative building.
