Kendriya Vidyalaya Loktak was established in the year 1979 and started functioning upto class X and now it has grown into a full-fledged Vidyalaya offering Science and Arts Streams in class XII. It is Co-Educational school with English and Hindi as the medium of instruction and affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi.
 
Initially this Vidyalaya was set up to cater to the needs of the wards of NHPC employees and wards of paramilitary posted in this project to maintain the law and order situation in Manipur but now a days trends have changed and vidyalaya grants admission on the basis of a written test to the floating population also.
 


Admissions:
Admissions take place only in KG classes.
 
If there are any possible vacancies in other classes it will be notified in the school office by the end of March every year.
 
Procedure for admissions starts in the month of February every year for the next following academic session.
