Kendriya Vidyalaya, No.1, Air Force Station, Sambra was established in the year 1977, with a view to impart quality education to the students in this region. Established in the defence sector, the Vidyalaya is administered by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, New Delhi.

The Vidyalaya caters to the educational needs of the children of Defence, Para-Military and other Central Government employees by providing a common programme of education.
