Kendriya Vidyalaya Cooch Behar was established in October 1982 in Chilarai Army Barrack in Cooch Behar Town. At first the school started functioning from Classes I-V with ten staff members including the Principal. 
 
The school shifted into its new spacious double-storied building on 4th July 1994. At present the school runs from Classes I-XII with Science and Humanities stream in senior secondary section.
 


Admissions:
Parents who wish to enroll their children can contact the school office for application forms and further details.
 
All qualified candidates can apply for admission to the school. 
 
Candidates are admitted based on the rules and regulations followed by the school.
 
 


Facilities:
School has got 36 class rooms, Computer, Physics , Chemistry , Biology & Maths Lab. Resource room, Junior Science Lab, Art & Craft Lab, Music Room Etc. Separate rooms are for Principal, Vice-Principal, Head Master & Staff Room for the teaching Staff. At present 11 staff quarters have been constructed.
