Kendriya Vidyalaya Vikas Puri made a modest beginning from a humble initiative in 1988 in tents up to class V in 4.5 acres of land. Kendriya Vidyalaya Vikas Puri is civil sector school situated in Village Hastal in west Delhi District in state of Delhi.
 
It aims to initiate and promote experimentation and innovativeness in education in collaboration with other bodies like the Central Board of Secondary Education and National Council of Educational Research and Training etc.
