Kendriya Vidyalaya ,NTPC, Farakka ,saw its beginning on 9th August 1982 in the modest campus of Tiny Tots School at Nabarun. It is affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. 
 
It aims to initiate and promote experimentation and innovativeness in education in collaboration with other bodies like the Central Board of Secondary Education and National Council of Educational Research and Training etc.
