Jawahar Navodya Vidyalaya, Koraput was started with an aim of nourishing and fostering the rural young talents of Solan district and also to promote National Integration through migration of students from Hindi to non- Hindi speaking States and vice-versa.It's a co-educational, residential school affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi & managed by Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti.
Admissions:
Admission to Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya is made through the all India level selection test called JawaharNavodayaVidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST).
Talented students are selected through this test conducted each year by CBSE and are given admission to VIth class in the school.
Seats are reserved for the children of rural areas. At least 75% of the seats of district are filled by candidates selected from rural areas and the remaining seats are filled from the district's urban areas.
Facilities:
Well-ventilated, spacious classrooms with latest equipment in its laboratories and an AV room are designed to meet the pedagogical needs of students. A vast playground with sufficient play material is available to make school a pleasurable experience for pupils.
