Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Trivandrum is a co-educational residential school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. School is a part of the JNV group of schools run by Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, New Delhi. It aims to foster National integration among students through a policy of migration and promote talent predominantly from rural areas and weaker section.
 


Admissions:
Admissions in the JawaharNavodayaVidyalayas take place on the basis of a Selection Test conducted by the CBSE. The test is called the Jawahar NavodayaVidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) it is of non-verbal nature, class neutral and so designed to ensure that children from rural areas are able to compete without facing any disadvantages due to poor communication facilities in rural areas special care is taken to ensure that children from far flung rural areas get admission form free of cost without any problem.
 
Sufficient publicity is done through Doordarshan, All India Radio, local newspapers, pamphlets, visits of Principals and teachers of NavodayaVidyalayas to the local schools of the district.
 


Facilities:
The school campus houses a library, well equipped labs for physics, chemistry, biology, math, language and computer science, spacious classrooms with smart boards, multipurpose hall, infirmary, indoor games room and a playground.
