Promoted in the year 2005, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Rohtak is progressing day by day and year by year. It is affiliated to CBSE,New Delhi. It has classes from VI to XII with science and commerce streams in classes XI and XII. It is a co-educational residential institute spread across an area of 30 acre. Admissions:
Admission to JawaharNavodayaVidyalaya is made through the all India level selection test called Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST).
 
Talented students are selected through this test conducted each year by CBSE and are given admission to VIth class in the school.
 
Seats are reserved for the children of rural areas. At least 75% of the seats of district are filled by candidates selected from rural areas and the remaining seats are filled from the district's urban areas.
