Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Phulbani has been serving the society meritoriously since two decades. It is fully residential co-educational institution established under the NPE 1986 by Ministry of HRD to provide quality modern education to the talented children of rural area including strong component of culture, adventure activities, awareness of environment, Physical education, Promotion of National Integration.
 


Admissions:
Admission is done through competition test known as JNVST conducted by CBSE and Students are admitted in class VIth. The test consists of the objective questions on reasoning, mathematics and language. 
 
In order to optionally utilize infrastructure facilities, available vacant seats at class IXth level are filled by selection test on the basis of class VIIIth syllabus. Medium of test is Hindi /English as per choice of applicants. Vacant seats of class XIth are filled on the basis of class Xth merit.
 
As per scheme maximum of 80 students are admitted in class VIth every year.
 


Facilities:
The Vidyalaya has all infrastructure facilities like academic block, well-equipped laboratories and large library hall with more than 13000 books and references. A Computer Lab with Internet facility, Multimedia classroom, Maths Lab, Language Lab, SUPW and Music room, multipurpose hall, M. I. Room, dormitories for boys and girls, dining hall, staff quarters and play fields. It also has twin Kitchen-cum-Dinning Halls serves the purpose of Mess.
