Founded in the year 1992, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV), Alleppey is a co-educational residential school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. The school is a part of the JNV group of schools run by Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, New Delhi and aims at providing children the best residential school system irrespective of their socio-economic background.
 


Admissions:
Admission to JawaharNavodayaVidyalaya is made through the all India level selection test called JawaharNavodayaVidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST).
 
Talented students are selected through this test conducted each year by CBSE and are given admission to VIth class in the school.
 
Seats are reserved for the children of rural areas. At least 75% of the seats of district are filled by candidates selected from rural areas and the remaining seats are filled from the district's urban areas.
 


Facilities:
The school campus is spread along the area of 13.2 acres of land. Well-ventilated, spacious classrooms with latest equipment in its laboratories and an AV room are designed to meet the pedagogical needs of students within the campus. A vast playground with sufficient play material is available to make school a pleasurable experience for pupils.
