Delhi Public School (DPS), Panipat Refinery was founded in the year 1998 as a joint venture between DPS Society and IOC, Panipat Refinery to provide education to the children of Panipat Refinery employees. It is a coeducational day school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi and boosts around 1900 students from nursery to class XII and around 100 teachers.

The school was awarded the International School Award (ISA) in 2009-10 by the British Council and also has been chosen as one of the British Council Ambassador schools.
