DAV public school Gandhinagar in its present form is a joint venture of the DAV College Managing Committee and the Coal India Limited (CIL). At present, it is affiliated to the CBSE and offers classes from playgroup to class XII. The streams of Science and Commerce are available here for Classes XI and XII.
 


Admissions:
The Registration/Admission forms for new admissions (if vacancy exists) are available from 1st April every year and selection is made on the basis of a Test and a subsequent interview so as to determine the child's capability to pursue the prescribed course of studies.
 
For admission to LKG, the child must be more than 3½ years, but less than 4 years old, as on 1st April of the year of admission.
 
Admission is granted on the basis of a written test and a subsequent interview. For admission to the different classes, tests are based on the syllabuses of the classes passed. It is to be noted that though no written test is stipulated for admission to L.K.G., one seeking admission thereto is required to appear for an interview. Both the parents are required to accompany their child.
