Advertisements for recruitment of Senior Secondary Recruit (SSR), Matric Recruit (MR), Musician (MUS), Non-Matric Recruit (NMR), Sports Entry and Artificer Apprentices (AA) Navik in Indian Navy is advertised in the Employment News and leading national and regional newspaper in the months of December/January and June/July of every year.
Eligibility for Indian Navy Navik Pariksha 2021 (Indian Navy Sailor Exam):-
AA - ARTIFICER APPRENTICE
•Age:- Not less than 17 years of age and not more than 20 years of age on the date of enrollment.
•Nationality:- Applicant should be a resident Indian. The Gorkhas, subjects of Nepal, are also eligible to apply for AA Recruitment
•Marital Status:- Unmarried
•Minimum Educational Qualification:- Class 12 or equivalent with subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
SSR - SENIOR SECONDARY RECRUIT
• Age:- Not more than 17 years of age and not more than 21 years of age on the date of enrollement.
• Relaxation of Age:- Against sports quota entry, the upper age relaxation for outstanding sportsmen, who have played at International / National / State level may be considered up to a period of 12 months.
• Nationality:- Applicant should be a resident Indian. The Gorkhas, subjects of Nepal, are also eligible for applying for SSR recruitment.
•Marital Status:- Unmarried
•Minimum Educational Qualification- Minimum class 12 (intermediate) in science stream with compulsory subjects of Physics and Mathematics and Optional subjects of Chemistry or Biology or Computers.
MR - NMR - MATRIC RECRUIT AND NON MATRIC RECRUIT

(a) MRs – Steward, Cooks
(b) NMRs – Topass
•Age:- Not more than 17 years of age and not more than 21 years of age on the date of enrollement.

(a) MR Steward/ Cook. Applicant should have passed 10th class examination.
(b) NMRs Topass. Applicant should have passed 6th class examination.
MUSICIANS
•Musical Ability:- Candidates applying for India Navy Musician MR Recruitment 2015 should have proficiency in western notation, aural aptitude, knowledge of Theory of Music and actual practical skill on any Musical Instrument.
•Type of Instruments. The candidates applying should have proficiency in playing String, Key-board, Woodwind, Brass and Percussion Instruments both of Western and Indian Origin.
•Age:- Not more than 17 years of age and not more than 21 years of age on the date of enrollement.
•Nationality. Applicant should be a resident Indian. The Gorkhas, subjects of Nepal, are also eligible for applying for the recruitment.
•Marital Status:- Unmarried
•Minimum educational qualification:- The applicant should have passed class 10 examination and should be able to exhibit an aptitude for music.

Before filling online application, keep music certificate, matric pass certificate & 10th Mark sheet ready for reference. Update your Aadhaar details if you wish to use the simplified application process.
Register yourself on www.joinindiannavy.gov.in with your E-mail ID, if not registered already. The Applicants must ensure that while filling their Appl ication Form, they are providing their valid and active e-mail IDs and mobile numbers as the Navy may use electronic mode of communication while contacting them at any stages.
Note that the photographs used for application should be clear and of goog quality with blue background. Application received without photographs will be rejected.

Indian Navy Sailor 2021 Exam Pattern:-
The exam pattern for Indian Navy Sailor Exam 2021 is as follows:-
Written Examination:-
Written exam will be conducted at the designated centre on the informed date and time. The question paper will be bilingual (Hindi & English) and of objective type. The question paper will comprise of four sections for Artificer Apprentice, Senior Secondary Recruit entry and Matric Recruit entry i.e. English, Science, Mathematics and General Knowledge and will be of 60 minutes duration. In case of Non Matric entry the question paper will comprise of two sections i.e. Mathematics and General Knowledge and will be of 40 minutes duration. Aspirants are required to pass in all sections and in aggregate. The syllabus for each entry is given the download section of the website.
Physical Fitness Test :-
PFT will consist of 1.6 Km run to be completed in 7 minutes, 25 squat ups (Uthak Baithak) and 10 Push-ups. Candidates undergoing PFT should be done at one's own risk. The results of the Written Test are generally declared on the same day. Those who qualify Written Test are permitted to undergo PFT and only those who qualify PFT are taken for Medical Examination.
Medical Test :-
Entry level Medical standards are different for different entries. Medical examination will be conducted by authorised military doctors as per medical standard prescribed in current regulations applicable to sailors on entry. Candidates declared Temporary unfit during Medicals in the recruitment medical examination can avail specialist review from the specified Military hospital within a maximum period of 21 days. No further review/ appeal is permissible.
Those candidates who are declared medically permanent unfit can appeal for specialist opinion in a Military Hospital on payment of Rs.40 by Military Receivable Order (MRO) in the Government Treasury within 21 days. Medical fitness certificate from other than that of the specialist opinion in the designated Military Hospital will NOT be considered. This whole process is generally completed on the same day but it may also take 3-4 days time depending on the service requirements or due to unforeseen contingencies.
