IBPS Clerk Exam 2022 is not just any average competitive exam but an important eligibility criteria for applicants wishing to apply for the post of bank clerk in nationalized banks and regional rural banking institutions in India. IBPS Clerk exam 2022 score card is accepted by as many as 22 nationalized banks in the country making it a nationally accepted qualification for clerical vacancies in the banking sector. So if you are an Indian citizen, aged between 18 and 28 years of age and with degree (graduation) in any stream from a recognized university you can apply for IBPS Clerk Exam 2022. Along with this basic qualification it is preferred that you have basic working knowledge  of computer systems and are able to read and write the local language of the region. This exam is conducted once during the calender year.

IBPS Clerks 2022 Eligibility -
 
Age (As on 01.07.2022) - Minimum: 20 years Maximum: 28 years

Relaxation of Upper age limit -

Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe - 5 years
Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer) - 3 years
Persons With Benchmark Disabilities as defined under “The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016” - 10 years

Educational Qualifications (As on 21.07.2022) -

A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognised by the Govt. Of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.

Computer Literacy - Operating and working knowledge in computer systems is mandatory i.e. candidates should have Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/Language/ should have studied Computer / Information Technology as one of the subjects in the High School/College/Institute.

Proficiency in the Official Language of the State/UT (candidates should know how to read/ write and speak the Official Language of the State/UT) for which vacancies a candidate wishes to apply is preferable.

For SC/ST/PWBD/EXSM candidates - Rs 175/-

The payment can be made by using Debit Cards (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets by providing information as asked on the screen.

Signature, left thumb impression and hand-written declaration Image:

The applicant has to sign on white paper with Black Ink pen.
Dimensions 140 x 60 pixels (preferred)
Size of file should be between 10kb – 20kb
Ensure that the size of the scanned image is not more than 20kb

The applicant has to put his left thumb impression on a white paper with black or blue ink.

Dimensions: 240 x 240 pixels in 200 DPI (Preferred for required quality) i.e 3 cm * 3 cm(Width * Height)
File Size: 20 KB – 50 KB

The applicant has to write the declaration in English clearly on a white paper with black ink.

Dimensions: 800 x 400 pixels in 200 DPI (Preferred for required quality) i.e 10 cm * 5 cm (Width * Height)
File Size: 50 KB – 100 KB.

Signature / Hand written declaration in CAPITAL LETTERS shall NOT be accepted.

IBPS Clerk Exam 2022 Pattern:-

Preliminary Examination -

Total - 100 Qs - 100 marks - 60 minutes

Candidates have to qualify in each of the three tests by securing cut-off marks to be decided by IBPS. Adequate number of candidates in each category as decided by IBPS depending upon requirements will be shortlisted for Online Main examination.

Penalty for Wrong Answers (Applicable to both – Online Preliminary and Online Main Examination) -

There will be penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score.


The key to IBPS Clerk Exam 2022 preparation is study and practise. Although the exam is not hard practising sample papers of previous years will certainly help you in a big way. This practise will assist you for each section of the paper. Since this is a computer based exam it is advisable that you spend some taking online mock tests. This will help you to be more familiar with the format of the exam and help you avoid those nerdy moments.
