AILET or All Indian Law Entrance Test (AILET) is a paper-pen based OMR entrance test directed by the National Law University, New Delhi for admission to its B.A. L.L.B (Hons), L.L.M and Ph.D degree programs. This all India examination is conducted in the first week of May every year. The important details of AIELT 2023 such as eligibility, total seats and programme details is as follows. 
 
 
Eligibility for AILET 2023:- 
 
B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) Five-Year Course - 
 
Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2 system) or an equivalent examination with 45% marks (40% in case of SC/ST/Persons with Disabilities).

Candidates appearing for the 12th standard annual examination in 2023 are eligible to apply.
 
Total Seats: 110+10 (110 seats on AILET merit; 5 seats each for Foreign Nationals and OCI/PIO for direct admission on merit). Foreign

Nationals/OCI/PIO are exempt from the AILET, but should have 65% marks in the qualifying examination. Additional Supernumerary Seats: One seat for Kashmiri Migrants and two seats for residents of Jammu & Kashmir.

Photograph and Signature -

The candidate should upload his/her passport size photograph and coloured with white background. Size of image should not be more than 1 MB.

The candidate should also upload his/ her scanned signature. Signature should be clear and without overwriting on white paper sheet within a box 6x3 cms (width*height). Size of image should not be more than 1MB.

Candidate signature should be clear and without overwriting on a white paper with Black/Blue pen within a box of 6x3cms (width*height) and clearly visible in the preview box/ page

The scanned signature should be in .jpg/jpeg/png format only.

Application fee - Rs.3500/-

In case of SC/ST and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) is Rs.1500/-.

Below Poverty Line (BPL) applicants of SC/ST category are exempted from application fee

Mode of Payment - DEBIT/ CREDIT CARDs, /UPI and Net Banking.

AILET to be conducted at Bengaluru, Bilaspur, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Cuttack, Dehradun, Delhi, Gandhinagar, Ghaziabad, Greater Noida, Gurugram, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Imphal, Jabalpur, Jaipur, Jammu, Jodhpur, Kanpur, Kolkata, Kota, Lucknow, Mangalore, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna, Pune, Raipur, Rajkot, Ranchi, Thiruvananthapuram, Tirupati, Shimla, Siliguri, Silchar, Varanasi and Visakhapatnam.

 
 

AILET 2023 Paper Pattern:-

 

Duration - 90 minutes

The three sections will be -

Section A - English Language (50 questions; 50 marks)

Section B - Current Affairs & General Knowledge (30 questions; 30 marks)

Section C - Logical Reasoning (70 questions; 70 marks)

Total 150 multiple choice questions for 150 marks

Negative marking: There will be Negative Marking in AILET 2023. The criteria for negative marking will be based on the formula 0.25*4=1 that means per wrong answer 0.25 Marks will be deducted. Therefore, four wrong answers will lead to deduction of 1 Mark.
