Dr BR Ambedkar Open University has truly lived upto its motto of providing "education at your doorstep". Formerly known as Andhra Pradesh Open University BRAOU functions through a widespread network of 206 study centers located across the state.The university makes use of a multi-media teaching-learning approach that comprises of printed self study material, supported audio and video lessons and regular broadcast of lessons on All India Radio (AIR). Lectures are also broadcast on Doordarshan regional channel and on Sundays the university has Interactive Teleconferencing on the Regional Channel of Doordarshan. BRAOU open university system is flexible in terms of admission, choice of academic programmes, duration and age requirement, method of teaching and evaluation procedure.
