Promoted in the year 1951, VSR & NVR College is accredited from NAAC and it is affiliated to Acharya Nagarjuna University. College offers 9 courses across 3 streams namely Science, Commerce and Banking, Arts and across 4 degrees like BSc, BA, B.Com, MSc. It aims to cater to the higher educational needs of this area in general and of the weaker sections in particular so that access and equity are provided.

Every year, in the April - July period, students are admitted to the Intermediate / Under Graduate / Post Graduate programmes. The admission process is simple and transparent.
 
Applications are issued in the college office as soon as the results of the qualifying examination are announced. Application forms can also be downloaded from the college website.
 
The filled application form together with necessary enclosures (clear and complete instructions are given in the form) must reach the college office within fifteen days of announcement of results.
 
Admission to the PG programmes is made on the basis of the Common Entrance Examination (ANUCET) conducted by the affiliated University.
