School of Management Sciences (SMS), Varanasi is considered to be one of the top ten colleges in India for Business education. It was established in the year 1995 and since then it is known for producing some highly qualified entrepreneurs in today’s practical world of business. The institute has been ranked as A++ in the category of the top B-Schools in the country. It is affiliated to Gautam Buddh Technical University, Lucknow and has been approved by A.I.C.T.E. (Govt. of India).
Being one among the A++ business institutes, it has created an identity of offering not only excellent business education but also for building the spirit of teamwork, leadership and values of organizational behavior and understanding the humanity. The courses that are offered by the college are Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com), Bachelor of Business Management (BBM), Post Graduate Diploma in IT & Management and Master of Business Administration (MBA). The Under Graduate courses are for the duration of three years whereas the Post Graduate courses are for two years.
Admission Process for MCA program :
Admission against Normal seats is made through UPSEE examination conducted by Utter Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow.
The Sponsored/ Management seats are filled up as per UPTU guidelines.
Admission process for Undergraduate Programs (BBA, BCA) :
Admission process starts with filling up the registration form, offered by SMS Varanasi. Admission in Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) takes place on the basis of the aggregate score obtained in Written Test followed by Personal Interview.
To participate in Written test, candidates are required to fill up SMS Registration Form which can be obtained from City / Campus Office of the Institute on payment of Rs. 500/- in cash or by sending a D.D. of Rs.550/- as in favour of "School of Management Sciences", payable at Varanasi. Form can also be downloaded from our website www.smsvaranasi.com and sent along with a DD of Rs.500/- as Registration Fee.
The institute is located in the city of lord Shiva i.e. Varanasi, which is considered as one of the sacred and ancient cities in India. The neighborhood of the campus is surrounded by lush green campus. It is located on Delhi-Kolkata Golden Quadrangle Super Express Highway, South-West of Banaras Hindu University. The institute has a wide variety of building and blocks that have been equipped with all the modern facilities. It has spacious Lecture halls with necessary audio-visual equipment and comfortable seating capacity. It also has separate hostel facility for boys and girls.
