SDM College of Engineering, Dharwad is a private engineering college, which was founded by Sri. Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Educational Society, Ujire in the year 1979. The college mainly deals with under graduate engineering programs. It is an autonomous institute that is affiliated to the Visvesaraya Technological University, Belgaum, Karnataka.
Being one of the leading engineering colleges in the state of Karnataka, it offers a wide range of technical courses to those students who want to enter into the evergreen field of engineering. It offers 4 years full time Under Graduate courses in Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrics & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering and Metallurgical engineering.
The Selection of the Candidate is been done on the basis of Personal Interviews and Group Discussions.
Each department or branch has its own laboratories as required by the curriculum. Every department has its own computer centre apart from the centralized one. The Library has books and journals on subjects taught in the college. There is an auditorium to conduct cultural and other events.
