Sree Chitra Thirunal College of Engineering (SCTCE), formerly known as SCT College of Engineering is a state-government-sponsored engineering college in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
In 2006 Outlook magazine gave it a rank of 98 in its list of Top 100 Engineering Colleges of India, and it is one of the top 3 Engineering colleges in Kerala.
It is one of three engineering colleges from the state of Kerala to appear on the list. In 2011 Week survey, it was ranked 65th in the list of top 100 engineering colleges in India.
For admission to any of the engineering courses offered by the college candidates must pass in Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala or examination recognized equivalent there to with 50% marks in Mathematics separately, and 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Biotechnology / Computer Science put together.
Admission is based on the list published by the Govt. Entrance Commission for the merit quota and as per the existing Government rules for Management quota.

The College has world class infrastructure for the betterment of the students. It has fully furnished separate hostels for boys and girls with all the amenities within the campus. Institute provides library with wide range of books and periodicals. It facilitates high speed internet facility with highly advanced computer in the computer centre.
The institute aims to provide placements for all students at under-graduate and post-graduate level. Companies like Infosys, Wipro, TCS, CTS, Satyam Computers, HCL, L & T, Coimbatore, EDS, etc come down for recruiting internship programs.
