Promoted in the year 2008, RTC Institute of Technology (RTCIT) is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and affiliated to Ranchi University, Ranchi. Institute started with an aim to consolidate as a pioneer Technical institution for running B. Tech Degree Program in Engineering. It is dedicated to develop and facilitate an educational institute of national repute by sharpening talents in a disciplined and conducive environment providing quality education by achieving excellence.

Admission is taken as per the guidelines of State Government of Jharkhand. Admissions are made under the regulations of AICTE, New Delhi and in accordance with the order of Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (J.C.E.C.E). The AIEEE/ IIT JEE with positive ranks are also eligible for admission. Direct admission to B.Sc. or 12th Pass Science Students.
