The existence of Patna Dental College & Hospital can be traced back to the year 1960, when the Government of Bihar realized the need of a dental college in the state. It is considered as one of the best dental institutes in India. Recently, the principal of college Dr. D.K. Singh was awarded by the former president of India Dr.A.P.J. Abdul Kalam for his contribution in providing quality education in the field of oral health care. The institute is affiliated to Patna University and is accredited with A.I.C.T.E (Govt. of India).
Patna Dental College & Hospital boasts of five years full time degree course of Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS). Every year, the college accepts 40 students for the course. The institute also stresses on the master level program of Dental sciences in Prosthodontics.
Admission to the candidate is based on Entrance exam and Personal Interviews.
In order to sustain its status among dental aspirants, the college has equipped itself with modern infrastructure facilities.
