The existence of Manorama School of Communication in Kottayam can be traced back to year 2002. In these 13 years, the college has gained a wide recognition across the country and has emerged into a center of excellence for the study of journalism.  It was founded by Malayala Manorama, a renowned publishing agency in Kerala. Manorama School of Communication, Kottayam strives for providing quality and skilled man power for the media industry.

Manorama School of Communication, Kottayam offers post graduate diploma in Print Journalism, which is divided into three semesters, each consisting of 12 weeks. Apart from this, the institute also offers three weeks internship course after the completion of third semester.
 


Admissions:

Eligibility

Applicants to the course must have a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognised university. Students who have appeared in their final examination may also apply. However, they will have to furnish adequate proof of graduation for their admission to be regularised.

SELECTION

Candidates aspiring to join the course are expected to have a good academic record, a keen interest in current affairs and politics, a deep commitment to journalism as a career and sound writing skills. Admission will be on the basis of a candidate’s performance in a written test and an interview.
