Manoharbhai Patel Institute of Engineering & Technology (MIET) is located in Gondia, Maharashtra. The college was established in the year 1983. The institute is maintained and regulated by Gondia Education Society. Manoharbhai Patel Institute of Engineering & Technology is affiliated to Rashtra Sant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Government of India, New Delhi and Council of Architecture, New Delhi.

 The institute imparts courses in engineering at the undergraduate and postgraduate level. Most of its courses are accredited by the National Board of Accreditation, (NBA). It has also been awarded an 'A' Grade by the Government of Maharashtra. It provides various modern facilities for the overall development of its students.

Admissions:

The entrance examination for the selection to all Engineering Degree Courses in State of Maharashtra for the academic year
2012-13 shall be conducted by the Competent Authority appointed by Government of Maharashtra. The Common Entrance Test
(MHT-CET 2012) will be held on 10th May, 2012 at all the district headquarters in the State of Maharashtra.

The Selection Process shall however be separate for degree courses in Health Sciences, Engineering and Pharmacy. The respective
Competent Authorities shall devise the system of Counseling/Allotment. This procedure shall be governed by the regulations and directions
specified by the Govt. of Maharashtra from time to time.

ELIGIBILITY :-

Candidates should have passed HSC (Std. XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education
or it's equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics and secured minimum 45% marks (40% marks for
backward class category candidates from Maharashtra) in the subject Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics added together and should
have Non-Zero score in MHT-CET or A.I.E.E.E. examination of the current year.

For Diploma Holders in Engineering/Technology awarded by Maharashtra Govt. or its equivalent having First Division and above can
be admitted directly to Third Semester B.E. However, Diploma Holders in Engineering or Technology with Second Division marks can be
admitted directly to B.E. 1st year.
