Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University (JNAFAU) was established by Act of Andhra Pradesh State Legislature No.31 of 2008 and is the first of its kind in the entire country. JNAFAU has two schools which are popularly known for offering several undergraduate, post graduate and PhD research programmmes, with an emphasis of two different colleges, i.e. School Of Planning & Architecture and Fine Arts.
The Institute acquires a unique status in the state and serves the three regions Andhra, Telangana and Rayalaseema for all their art educational needs and is pacing towards Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

Facilities:

JNAFAU is situated in the busy urban area of the city. It has its own sprawling campus with state of art infrastructure and modern amenities that provides an academic environment to the students. The campus includes academic buildings, workshops; spacious library has a collection of more than 10,000 books, Computer Labs with well equipped facilities, Quality Improvement Program (QIP) Cell, Industrial Consultancy Cell (ISC), Entrepreneurship Development Cell and many more.
