Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur founded in 2008 represents a distinctive culture of engineering and science education along with other areas of scholarship and generates research to best fulfill the current and emerging needs of society, enhancing its prosperity through environmentally sustainable means.
IIT Jodhpur has undertaken a joint venture with a French consortium comprising of twenty highly-ranked and diversified academic institutions of France. The institute emphasizes multidisciplinary in its undergraduate curriculum and interdisciplinary specializations at the postgraduate level.

Candidates are admitted through the regular admission channel that is based on the applications received through IIT-JEE/ GATE & JAM entrance test for various programmes.

Facilities:
IIT Jodhpur operates from two campuses – Academic and Residential. The academic campus is located in the MBM Engineering College campus in the heart of the city, while the residential area is located 14 kms away from the city on New Pali road.
The campus includes facilities such as central library, laboratories & research centre, computer centre, residential campus, health centre, ATM, bank, mess, transportation, visitor’s hostel and shops.

The Student Placement Cell (SPC) is entirely run and managed by the students in harmony with the official authorities thereby taking care of the entire placement and internship procedure.
