For the benefit of those who do not know, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) is a trade association for the world's airlines. This body constitutes 240 airlines which is 84 percent of the total air traffic of the world. This global organization supports airline activity and formulates industrial policy and standards. The core functions of IATA include airline safety and security, business policies and training. Focussing on the importance of training IATA offers a number of short term certificate courses in various specializations of the avaition industry. IATA provides these programmes through clasroom training, company training, distance learning and through its certified training partners. The organizations' certification programmes are preferred by industrial professionals for their skill, knowledge base and practical application.
 


Admissions:

The procedure for admission to courses at IATA is simple. Aspirants are first required to take a psychometric test and then an interview. After this you are required to fill the registration form and deposit the amount for admission fee. Candidates who are successful admitted are issued an enrollment letter which contains necessary details along with enrollement number. Once a candidate is admitted he/she is automatically permitted to appear for the entrance exam. The enrollement letter specifies for which exam one is expected to appear. It also indentifies the IATA's local co-ordinator responsible for the conduct of the exam.

Students enrolled in more than one course will be limited to one course examination per session. Exam registration deadline apply to each course examination.

Examinations are held in March, June, September and December of each year.
