The Guru Nanak College is managed by Guru Nanak Educational Society with an aim to spread the ideals of universal brotherhood, oneness of God, communal harmony and welfare to all communities. Founded in the year 1971, college offers undergraduate, post graduate and doctoral courses and is affiliated to the University of Madras. The College is being run as a minority community college.

An Applicant provisionally selected for admission will be called for an interview with the Principal. The parent or guardian should be present at the time of interview. A call for the interview does not necessarily ensure admission. At the time of interview the candidate should produce all the relevant certificates in original.
