Government College of Engineering and Ceramic Technology (GCECT) is a government funded institute that came into existence in the year 1941. It is affiliated to the West Bengal University of Technology in Kolkata, India.
Institute offers engineering courses in Ceramic Technology, Computer Science & Engineering and Information Technology and has been upgraded to a UGC autonomous postgraduate institution.
Admission to the college is through the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) conducted by the West Bengal Joint Examination Admissions Board (WBJEEB).
Lateral admissions are through the Joint Entrance Examination of Lateral Entry (JELET), also conducted by WBJEEB.
Students will be selected on the merit basis.
