Giani Zail Singh College of Engineering and Technology, Bathinda is the oldest institution in Punjab that is fully maintained and regulated by the Government of Punjab. The institute was established in the year 1989 in order to impart quality technical education to the local students of Bathinda. Giani Zail Singh College of Engineering & Technology holds the rare distinction of being the premier college to be promoted by the state Government.  It is affiliated to Punjab Technical University and is accredited with A.I.C.T.E. (Govt. of India).
