Gargi Memorial Institute of Technology, Kolkata came into existence in the year 2000 is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (A.I.C.T.E) & is affiliated to West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT).

It aims to stimulate the Academic Environment for Continual Growth and Refinement of Quality Teaching-Learning in the Institution and to encourage Self-evaluation, Accountability, Creativity and Self-discipline.

The college offers 4 years Undergraduate Programme and a 2 years’ Postgraduate Programme.
 


Admissions:

Admission to the B.Tech programme under WBUT is based on the merit standing of applicant’s in the JEE conducted by the Govt. of West Bengal and candidates must have minimum 45% marks (40% for reserved category) in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics for general category.

Admission through Lateral Entry Scheme shall be made strictly on the basis of merit and preference of candidates in the Common Entrance Examination for admission through JELET for B.Tech course in Second Year.
