GLS (Shailesh R. Parikh) Institute of Computer Technology was established with a vision to make it a premier class institution of academic excellence through integration of innovative teaching and learning, advancement of the knowledge base and research. The All India Council of Technical Education and Gujarat University have approved this institute as Post Graduate center for conducting the MCA and MBA courses under self-financing scheme.

Admission to the MCA programme is given on the basis of CMAT conducted by AICTE.
 
Graduates (10+2+3 pattern) of Gujarat state or out state universities in any disciplines provided they have passed H. S. C. or equivalent examination from a school can apply.
